The natives of Kimwanga in Bumula, Bungoma County, were on Sunday puzzled by news of a primary school headteacher and watchman being fatally attacked by unknown assailants.
The deceased teacher was stationed at the Masielo Primary School.
The watchman was working at a local pub identified as Vuta Pumzi where he met his tragic end.
The two were murdered by the same attackers who took off immediately.
Police have since kickstarted their investigations as locals call for a heightened security ahead of Tuesday's general election.
