Bahati Member of Parliament (MP) Kimani Ngunjiri has lost in his bid in seeking re-election in the Nakuru County constituency.
The vocal lawmaker, who was running on a UDA ticket, garnered 26,809 votes losing to Jubilee candidate Irene Njoki who garnered 34,308 votes to clinch victory.
Njoki was making her first stab at a political seat.
Ngunjiri's loss comes after he had bad blood for a while with Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika during the campaign period in the county before the two eventually buried the hatchet.

Meanwhile, in the county, Nakuru West MP Samuel Arama was successful in retaining his seat under a Jubilee Party ticket.
Arama garnered 34,899 votes beating his closet competitor Daniel Githengi Kamau of UDA who garnered 29,343 votes.
In Gilgil constituency, Martha Wangari retained her seat on a UDA ticket after garnering 35,363 votes with her closet rival Nderitu Mathenge of Jubilee coming in second with 19,764 votes.
"Finally the results are out!!! Thank you God. Thanks family and friends. Thanks Gilgil. Gilgil, I will make it count," Wangari tweeted moments after getting her certificate.
