The Results Have Been Manipulated - Raila's Chief Agent Now Says

ODM leader Raila Odinga's chief agent now says the presidential results set to be released by the IEBC have been manipulated. 

Addressing a press conference at Bomas of Kenya, Saitabao Ole Kanchory said the process of verifying the results was not transparent as pledged by the IEBC boss Wafula Chebukati.

He said the IEBC colluded with their opponents to manipulate the presidential results.

"I think you would remember that I had earlier stated that Bomas of Kenya was a crime scene. And that was way before the results of this election came out. The reason that I said so is because as Kenyans were busy waiting for the outcome of this election, Members of this commission led by Chebukati himself were busy tempering and manipulating the results," he said.

Kanchory added that Form 34C has not been availed to them and thus they will not be able to invite their presidential candidate to Bomas of Kenya until they verify the results.

"The results that are yet to be released we don't know about them. Whether they favor us or not, those results have been tampered with. We are saying we want to see them, once we see them, we want to verify them. Once we verify them, we will be able to know what to tell our people. Because a result that is not verifiable is not a result," he added.

The statement comes even as Deputy President William Ruto and his running mate Rigathi Gachagua are at the Bomas of Kenya awaiting the release of the results.

Chebukati had said the results will be announced at 3p. It was however pushed to 4p and as 5pm, the IEBC boss was yet to be seen.
