Photos of the refurbished iconic Nairobi recreational park and Uhuru Park were recently shared by NMS. 

The Nairobi Metropolitan Services (NMS) has announced that there will be a fireworks extravaganza today (Monday), September 12, at Uhuru park.

In a statement via social media platforms, NMS stated that the fireworks would be between 7 - 8 PM during the commissioning of Uhuru & Central Park. 

"It is notified for General information of the Public that there will be a Fireworks Extravaganza in Uhuru Park between 7-8pm on 12th Monday in celebration of Commissioning of Uhuru & Central Park. Members of the public are advised to anticipate & enjoy the display," NMS said. 

NMS recently shared photos of the refurbished iconic Nairobi recreational park, Uhuru Park, after undergoing a major facelift.

By the look of the photos and video shared by NMS, the park had a renovated entrance with new pavements inside the facility and well-maintained lawns.

New benches for the public have also been put in the park with a number of monuments also erected.
