President William Ruto arrived in Ethiopia on Thursday, October 6, and was received by the country's Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed.
President Ruto and Prime Minister Abiy are expected to hold bilateral talks and oversee the launch of Safaricom in Ethiopia.
"We are exploring new fronts in our relations with Ethiopia to pursue shared interests, especially in the area of technology, for our mutual prosperity. Arrived in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, for bilateral talks with Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the launch of Safaricom Ethiopia," the Head of State tweeted minutes after landing in Ethiopia.
After his tour of Ethiopia, President Ruto will on Sunday proceed to Uganda where he has been invited by President Yoweri Museveni for the country's independence day.

In his visit to Uganda, the President is expected to hold talks with Museveni during which they will also discuss remarks made by his son Muhoozi Kainerugaba.
