Foreign Affairs CS Alfred Mutua has directed Kenyan officials in Tanzania to investigate an incident of alleged mistreatment of a Kenyan in Tanzania.
Video of Fredrick Omondi calling for government intervention in Tanzania went viral on social media catching the attention of the CS.
"I have noted the online clip of Kenyan Frederick Omondi, who is being held in Tanzania," Mutua said.
"I directed our Tanzanian team to find out the whole story and to assist him."
Omondi who had set up a pharmacy business in Tanzania claims a son of his former employer had gone after him and accused him of stealing.

The father to the son had hired Omondi to oversee a construction business but he passed on leaving him at the mercy of family members.
Omondi claims the son accused him of stealing construction materials and after leaving the company, he followed him and took his business.
"So I opened a Pharmacy which cost me nearly Ksh1.5 million - I even have my transactions receipts," he said.
"This guy took the pharmacy claiming that you are using our pharmacy to build it."
According to Omondi, his oppressor at the same time confiscated his password which had a work permit stuck on it hence he cannot be able to look for a job.
"Meanwhile, I cannot work in this country because I need a work permit to work which is stuck on the passport, and yet they are holding on to my passport," he stated.
He says he needs help to settles bill that include Sh700,00 for his wife who fave birth with complications.
