The National Police Service Multi-Agency Team in Nairobi on Monday, November 21, on patrol arrested six suspected youth aged between 20-26 years.
In an update by the National Police Service on Tuesday, November 22, the six were flushed out from their hideout in Mathare, Nairobi County.
"The 6, who were flushed from their hideout in Mathare Area 1 were found in possession of 4 knives, one stone, and 8 rolls of bhang. The 6 have since been processed and will be arraigned in court," part of the statement by police read.
This comes days after Inspector General of police Japhet Koome issued a stern warning to crime syndicates in Nairobi and across the country to either desist from crime or else face the full force of the law.

"As I take over the leadership of the National Police Service, I want to assure you madam chief justice that we shall protect the lives and property that Kenyans have so painstakingly acquired.
"Any criminal trying to pickpocket or forcefully take jewelry along the streets shall have themselves to blame, as they shall be dealt with firmly," Koome stated.
