Kenya Film Classification Board (KFCB) CEO Ezekiel Mutua has now said that the response by actress Lupita Nyong'o to tourism CS Najiba Balala is uncalled for.
The Hollywood actress issued a hilarious response to CS Balala after the minister said that they had been trying to access Lupita for five years in vain.

However, according to the KFCB boss, Lupita should have reached out to the CS instead of the sarcastic response.
"I think the sarcasm in Lupita's response to CS Balala is totally inappropriate. She should have picked her phone and just say "Waziri, I am here. I am ready to serve my country." Being a global icon should come with some loyalty to your country and respect for elders!," Mutua tweeted.
On Thursday, while defending the decision by his ministry to appoint Naomi Campbell as Magical Kenya International Tourism Ambassador instead of Lupita, he said:
"I know everybody is asking why not Lupita. Lupita has commitments and her managers cannot allow us to access her. We’ve spent the last five years looking for Lupita."
