Africa’s fastest man Ferdinand Omanyala on Wednesday featured on JKLive show where he opened up to the show host Jeff Koinange on various issues regarding his athletics journey.
As the show was moving closer to an end, Omanyala who was accompanied by his wife Levanta Omanyala, surprised Jeff Koinange with a gift hamper containing their merchandise.
Inside the hamper was a nicely designed hoodie that has the initials FO signaling Ferdinand Omanyala. The hoodie also has a design that shows an athlete finishing the race.

Explaining more about the company that produced the merchandise, Omanyala said it was his own company dubbed ‘Track Ferdy’ and urged interested corporates to partner with him.
“This company also needs sponsors… It is a Kenyan brand. The dream of Track Ferdy is to sponsor African athletes because most African athletes don’t have contracts. With time we want that to be a label, we want that to have even shoes, even spikes so that we can sponsor Kenyans to reach heights,” he said.
Opening up on his current and future plans, Omanyala said he hopes to try his luck in the 200-meter race next year, also adding that he is keen to finish his University studies at the University of Nairobi.
“I intend to finish my degree at the university…I chose to study chemistry as I thought I would end up in the drug-manufacturing industry,” he said in part.
