Renowned Kenyan musician Akothee alias President of Single mothers has advised Eric Omondi and Jacque Maribe to put aside their differences and come up with an agreement on how to raise ‘their’ baby.
In an Instagram post, Akothee urged Eric to abandon his demand for a DNA test, arguing that the baby has known him to be his dad, and it would be unfair to change that now.
“Eric wachana na DNA us women/mothers decide who father's our children hata kama sio yako, tumekuchagua wewe lea tu mtoto ni wetu sote. I didn't have to go to DNA for my 3 kids Vesha Rue and Fancy. They all resemble their father. Trust me hadi leo jamaa hata haelewi watoto wake wanakula nini, wanaishi vipi . Hawa watoto nimewalea kwa mikono yangu ,wakiita watu wasiowazaa Daddy. Eric unaniskia?” she posed.
Addressing Maribe, Akothee told her to ignore Omondi and take up the responsibility of raising the kid as a single mother, in case the comedian does not step up.
“Jacky wewe pia chukuwa majukumu kama mzazi, ignore Eric omondi and take charge of your child's lifeyou will have peace. Huyu jamaa atakutoa figo ukose pumzi ya kutafuta. I am speaking to you as a single mother of 5 children. I got peace when I stopped chasing baby daddies, mummy roho yangu ilikuwa inatembea nje kama mchawi ,usiku silali ,mchana sina nguvu . Ona Sasa hii mbio inatupeleka DNA Tunasumbua mtoto na na useless trips. Mummy yaishe!” she said.

According to Akothee, the baby already knows Eric as his dad and the same should not change. She further noted that engaging in online attacks only affects the innocent baby.
Mtoto ashajua babake superstar. Huyu mtoto atakuja kuwa mtu mkubwa sanaa ,na nyote mtaumia kumuumiza mtoto mdogo na mambo yenu ya hasira za peni mbili,” she added.
Akothee’s statement comes after Omondi claimed that he has continuously requested Jacque for a DNA test to establish whether he is really the biological father of the kid but the request has been denied.
Eric claims that he reportedly had a one-night stand with Maribe in 2012 when she was dating Sam Ogina but used protection.

"So we met at Radio Africa in 2012. I was working at Radio Jambo and Jacque was working at Kiss TV. So one Random night after a Radio Africa Staff Party and after afew bottles of whiskey and wine glasses Jacque and I happened. It was really a one night thing because she was dating KTN's Sam Ogina at the time. We used protection.
"After two Months Jacque tells me she's Pregnant!!! I immediately ask her how since we used Protection??? She then tells me "It doesn't matter the mother always knows who the Father is and that I am the Father!!! During the entire Pregnancy nothing happened and we barely saw each other," part of the statement reads.
Earlier, Maribe had accused Eric of being a deadbeat father saying she was doing everything on her own.
"I’m hopelessly in love with motherhood. And as a single mum doing everything on her own, my goal is to raise a brilliant person, as he already is,” she said.
