The KPLC official who was assaulted has been identified as Julius Onkangi.
According to Onkangi, the MP had illegally connected power at his Kitengela home which is currently under construction.
The MP in the video is seen lecturing the engineer and demanding that he reconnects the house or face dire consequences.
“The time of bribe-taking is over, I will not allow you to do that to any other Kenyan before supplying electric power,” he said in the video seen by Nairobi Leo.
In a statement on Tuesday, KPLC General Manager, Human Resources and Administration Cecilia Kalungu said they are working with security agencies in ensuring their employee gets justice.
"They have vowed to ensure that justice for our employees is served," she said.
KPLC went on to assure its staff of security saying the recent assault won't be allowed again in future.
"We assure employees that the Company will provide them with the necessary support and security when needed," Kalungu said.
