Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua now says he has never had anything against Azimio leader Raila Odinga.
Speaking on Tuesday, August 27 during the official launch of Raila’s African Union Commission (AUC) chairperson bid, Gachagua said he only had issues with the former Prime Minister because he was vying for the same position as President William Ruto.
“Somebody may ask why Rigathi Gachagua who has before had issues with the leadership of Raila Odinga is now supporting him. As a truthful man, I had nothing against him. It is only he was competing for the same position between him and my boss,” said Gachagua.
The DP noted that he is now supporting the opposition leader as he aims to be the next AUC chairperson.
“Now that he is going for a bigger seat in Africa all of us from the President, I, and the rest of Kenya are behind him,” Gachagua remarked.
