Zachariah Mwangi Njeru, CS nominee for the Ministry of Lands, Housing and Urban Development, has revealed that he is worth approximately Sh80 million.
Appearing before the vetting committee in Parliament on Wednesday, October 19, Mr. Njeru said that he owns a residential house in Nakuru and has various parcels of land.
The Lands CS nominee further maintained that he has invested in various investment groups and saccos.
"I am worth approximately Sh80 million. I have my own residence where I stay in Nakuru. I also have various parcels of land and also I have invested in various investment groups and saccos. So that's where I get my earning from," Mr. Njeru stated.
Mr. Njeru is the least wealthy CS nominee to have been vetted by the special Parliament committee so far.

He said that the bottom-up agenda that President William Ruto drummed up support for appreciates people who are not known.
"The bottom up appreciates that people who are not known, people who are not in the limelight can also be nominated to various positions," he said.
Responding to the question on land grabbing during his grilling, Mr. Njeru said that individuals who acquired titles without following due processes will have the titles returned.
He said that if the title deeds were not issued in a procedural manner then they will be treated as mere papers.
"If we have individuals who have titles and they never followed proper processes to acquire those pieces of land, then as a CS I will make sure those titles are possessed back. If titles were not acquired procedurally then I will treat them as papers," he said.
