A third suspect linked with the gouging out of baby Junior Sagini's eyes has been arrested in Kisii.
Rael Nyakerario, baby Sagini's grandmother, was apprehended on Wednesday evening, December 21, and she was arraigned on Thursday in a Kisii court.
Her arrest comes after the police on Tuesday nabbed Pacificah Nyakerario, a 60-year-old woman, who is also linked with the brutal incident against baby Sagini.
The 60-year-old granny is said to have left the village on the very day the child was found dumped in a maize plantation with his eyes gouged out.
The other main suspect Alex Maina Ochogo was arrested on Monday and arraigned at Kisii Law Courts as police obtained orders to detain him for five more days pending a probe.

Ochogo appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Christine Ogweno for gouging out the eyes of the three-year-old boy at Ikuruma village in Marani Sub-county, Kisii County.
He is reported to have escorted Nyakerario, who is his mother, to the stage on her way to Nairobi on the fateful day.
The three suspects are being held in police custody at Rioma police Station and will take plea on Friday, December 23.
While receiving treatment, Sagini told doctors at the Kisii Eye Hospital that a man with a rope and a torch took him from their home compound where he was playing with other kids.
Before the incident, baby Sagini was staying with his grandmother and step father.
