A Nyeri teacher who was found dead in a concrete grave inside his house died of suffocation, an autopsy report has revealed.
Tetu Sub County Police commander Philip Mwania said the autopsy conducted at Nyeri Provincial General Hospital established that Joseph Gathogo breathed his last because of lack of oxygen.
He said the Autopsy examinations ruled out the possibility that the deceased injected poison. It was also established that he had no body injuries that could be linked to his death.
“Our investigations which have so far corresponded with the post-mortem indicate that he nailed himself inside the coffin and sealed any air from coming in or out,” Mwania told the press on Wednesday, January 18.
