A selection panel formed to nominate qualified persons for an appointment for the position of Director of Public Prosecution has invited Kenyans who meet the required set standards to apply.
The chairperson of the Selection Panel Shadrack Mose in the Notice said Interested Kenyans have until July 12 at 5 PM to apply for the position.
"Pursuant to provisions of Article 157 of the Constitution and section 8(1) -(4) of the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions Act, 2013, the Selection Panel invites applications from suitably qualified persons to be considered for nomination for appointment to the position of the Director of Public Prosecutions," the notice read.
The DPP post fell vacant after Noordin Haji was appointed the Director General of the National Intelligence Service.

The successful candidate will serve the country for a non-renewable period of 8 years. The office holder must have a law degree or be an advocate of the High Court of Kenya.
Applicants must have at least 10 years of experience as distinguished academic or law practitioners.
He or she must be of high Moral Integrity, character and impartiality.

Those who want to deliver it by hand have been asked to ensure the application is in a well-sealed envelope and written "Application for the Position of the Director of Public Prosecution".
The application should be addressed to "The Chairperson, DPP Selection Panel, Public Service Commission House. P.O BOX 30095-00100, Nairobi".
The application should be delivered to the office of the secretary/CEO 4th floor of Commission House on Harambee Avenue.
The 7-member selection panel consists of Cotu boss Francis Atwoli and EACC CEO Twalib Mbarak.
Others are Mary Kimonye (Principal Administrative Secretary, State Department for Public Service), Shadrack Mose (Solicitor general), Mary Adhiambo (Secretary - HRM and Development, State Department for Public Service), Roseline Odede (Chairperson of the Kenya National Commission on Human Rights) and Richard Obwocha.
