Nairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has disclosed that the Azimio la Umoja coalition will announce the next wave of protests on Friday, July 28.

"We took a break from the demonstrations to mourn with the families of the victims of police brutality. We have a press conference on Friday, we will give the way forward because we will never let down our constitutional rights. The protests are ours to plan, we are not planning based on Government's schedule, on Friday, we will give the next wave of protests until the State listens to Kenyans," Sifuna.
The Senator took a swipe at Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki for the brutality meted out on protestors during the Azimo demonstrations.

"CS Kindiki cannot hold even a rungu and come and beat me up, he is talking like that because he is hiding behind the police and it's quite shameful. Kindiki does not scare anyone," he said.
The Raila Odinga-led coalition on Wednesday held candle-lit vigils across the counties for the victims who died during the protests.
The former Premier in the company of Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka visited protestors who were injured during the demos at Mama Lucy and Kenyatta hospitals.
According to Azimio, at least 50 deaths have been recorded and multiple protesters injured since the anti-government protests began.
