Nandi Senator Samson Cherargei has slammed Transport CS Kipchumba Murkomen over his remarks on the leaking roof at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport.
CS Murkomen while explaining why JKIA was having a leaking roof and power blackout blamed Former President Uhuru Kenyatta's regime for the mess.
He said the Uhuru regime sought the services of unqualified contractors to renovate JKIA and other airports in the country something that has caused a huge mess.
"The previous government did shoddy work in the maintenance of the JKIA facility and other 12 airstrips across the country," the CS said.

"When we got to the office, we found out that many of our airports are in a pathetic state and JKIA leaking is a result of that."
Senator Cherargei in a rejoinder told him off saying the mess should have been corrected immediately.
He said the problem persisting for over a year is a show of incompetence on the part of the CS.
"Lol to fix a leaking terminal roof in JKIA takes a whole year then kumbe our roads in Nandi County shall not be Fixed. This is the highest incompetence and lethargy of CS Murkomen who called me a fool a week ago. Kenyans can now see who is a fool now," the Senator said.
The leaking roof of JKIA has caused uproar among Kenyans who raised concerns about how a facility like that could experience flooding.
The image of the JKIA floor flooded with water went viral on social media sparking criticism among Kenyans.
