Nyeri Town Member of Parliament Duncan Mathenge has reported his Webuye West colleague Daniel Wanyama to the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) over remarks he made at an event on Sunday, January 19.
Speaking to the media on Wednesday, January 22, Mathenge expressed that the remarks made at a church service attended by President William Ruto were inciting.
He claimed that the isolation remarks were aimed at segregating the Mt Kenyan region in politics.
Consequently, he detailed that he had submitted a video of the speech to the NCIC, noting that he would be pushing for the MP to be summoned to explain his remarks.

Additionally, Mathenge revealed that he had written to the National Assembly over the same.
"I have forwarded the clip to NCIC and I have also asked the committee of Parliament on National Integration and Equal Opportunity to actually write to you (Wanyama) to appear before that committee and we are going to make a recommendation that you lose your seat," he stated.
Mathenge also noted that he was considering suing his fellow UDA MP for the remarks.
He explained that action needed to be taken against the MP adding that the remarks were retrogressive to the unity called by Ruto.
"The politics of setting one community against others is retrogressive. I am contemplating filing a constitutional case against you for gross violation of the Constitution," Mathenge added.
