Njuri Ncheke elders have called on Public Service CS Justin Muturi to reach out to President William Ruto and solve their differences amicably.
Speaking on Tuesday, February 4, the elders opined that the CS could still mend his differences with the Head of State despite his recent remarks on the government.
The elders noted that it would be unfortunate should the CS be removed from government amidst a push for his firing from Cabinet.
Additionally, they expressed that the CS could also reach out to Deputy President Kithure Kindiki to intervene and mediate over the differences.
"You cannot destroy a house while still in it. Go back to the President. Look for your brother, DP Kithure Kindiki. You (Muturi) are among the 22 people who can access the President easily," one of the representatives stated.
"You said that you talked to him at that time (during his son's abduction). Just look for him and talk it out."
Notably, the elders made the remarks after Belgut MP Nelson Koech hinted at the firing of the CS in the coming days.
"I know what is happening politically. He simply is a man who is daring the president to fire him. He has called for it and you will see it. In a week or two, CS Muturi will be home. He will be fired," the MP stated during an interview on Citizen TV.
Muturi had come under sharp criticism from government officials and allies of Ruto for his public remarks on abductions.
This is after the CS condemned the abduction and called out government agencies for their response in dealing with the abductions and killings of missing persons.
"This is a very serious matter and it should actually take the anger of this country because why are we allowing young men and girls to be kidnapped? Only later to be found killed," Muturi remarked after visiting the families of two missing Mlolongo men who were found dead.
