The Kenya Forest Service (KFS) has cautioned Kenyans over fake interview letters being issued to innocent job seekers by scammers.

In a statement dated Friday, March 28, KFS clarified that there was no ongoing job recruitment.

Kenyans were, therefore, advised to be on the alert and not to fall prey to the schemes being orchestrated by scammers to con them of their hard-earned money.

"The general public is cautioned to be aware and not to fall victim to such criminal lies. For the avoidance of doubt, the Kenya Forest Service has not announced any job vacancies. It should also be noted that whenever such opportunities occur, the Service uses official channels to publicise them to all qualified Kenyans."

"These include the official website (kenyaforestservice.org) and national circulation print media as required by the law. Whenever in doubt, the public is encouraged to reach out to the Service for clarification," KFS warned.
