Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across five counties on Monday, July 7, as part of a network maintenance exercise.
In a statement on Sunday, July 6, the company said the outages will affect selected areas in Nandi, Kisii, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, and Taita Taveta counties.
In Nandi County, power will be cut off from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. in Mosoriot Centre and its environs.
Affected areas include Mbelekenya, Mosoriot Primary, Itigo, Kamzee, Mutwot, Keben, Kokwet, Birbriet, Ndonyo Ngara, Koitelel University, Lamaywe, and Nduroto.
Parts of Kisii County, specifically Masimba and Ramasha, will experience an outage between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Affected locations include Masimba Market, Masimba Secondary School, Ramasha Water Pump, Kiomiti Secondary School, and Maweko Village.
Nyeri County will see extensive outages from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Areas to be affected include Kiamwangi Coffee Factory, Kwa Ngacha Village, Kahashu Village, Saigon, Ihwagi Market and surrounding schools and villages such as Karura and Gikumbo.
Other affected areas include Shauri Moyo, Gaikuyu, Magutu, Gaturumo-Ini, Kiamigwi, Gatondo, Itundu, Gathehu, Giakaibei Githima, and Ragati.
Safaricom and Airtel communication boosters in the area will also be impacted.
In Kirinyaga County, electricity will be unavailable from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Difathers, Kamunyange, Togonye, Kajji, Kathiriku, Ichangi, and surrounding areas including the Oriental Hotel and Karuangi Village.
Parts of Maungu in Taita Taveta County will face outages from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
The power cut will affect Itinyi, Kisimenyi, Bungule, Kiteghe, Kasigau, Jora, Makwasinyi, and surrounding communities.
