ODM has announced plans to form a technical team to oversee the implementation of the MoU signed with the UDA party.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) has announced plans to form a technical team to oversee the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed with the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) party.

In a statement released on Tuesday, July 29, the ODM party expressed its support for the broad-based governance agreement with UDA, emphasizing a shared commitment to addressing national concerns through democratic and constitutional means.

“The party supports the position of Party Leader Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga to work with the Kenya Kwanza administration to stabilize the country and create an enabling environment for Kenyans to address their concerns,” the statement read in part.

To accelerate the implementation of the 10-point agenda outlined in the MoU, ODM will constitute a technical team to work with UDA counterparts.

The team will focus on political and institutional reforms and provide technical expertise on agreed priorities, including the implementation of the National Dialogue Committee (NADCO) report.

ODM further reaffirmed its demand for the immediate transfer of all devolved functions to county governments and the resolution of pending issues.

“While the members arrived here with different viewpoints on many issues within the party and the country, the committee brokered an unbreakable unity of purpose in the party and a single-minded focus on ensuring that ODM continues to be a loyal servant of the people that the country, serving in the best interest of its supporters and the nation and committed to the agenda of national transformation and stability,” the statement concluded.
