The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has frozen ticket sales for all upcoming matches scheduled to take place at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani.
That includes the Kenya vs Zambia match scheduled to take place on Sunday, August 17, at 8 PM.
The decision comes in the wake of safety and security breaches that overshadowed Harambee Stars’ game against Morocco on Sunday, August 10.
The match against Morocco was marred by a series of incidents unauthorized entry by fans without tickets and overcrowding.

As a result, unless tickets for the Kenya vs Zambia game on Sunday, August 17, are made available, the fixture will be played behind closed doors, without any fans in attendance.

During Sunday's match, hundreds of fans breached a gate at the Moi International Sports Centre, Kasarani, forcing their way into the stadium.
According to videos online, the crowd overwhelmed the security personnel stationed at the entrance and sprinted into the stands.
CAF had already fined the Football Kenya Federation (FKF) approximately Ksh646,000, part of which was suspended, for lapses in security during the Kenya versus DR Congo match, and had imposed further penalties after breaches in the Kenya versus Angola clash.
The game between Kenya and DR Congo at Kasarani had seen similar scenes of chaos when fans overwhelmed stewards at Gate 11, triggering a stampede.
Other reported lapses included fans lighting unauthorized fires, a motorbike weaving dangerously through the crowd, and incidents of verbal and physical abuse against CAF officials, including an alleged assault on a staff member by security personnel.
CAF responded by fining FKF KSh2.5 million for these breaches.
