Narok County Senator Ledama Olekina has faulted President William Ruto’s latest ambassadorial appointments, accusing the government of sidelining the Maa community.
In a brief statement on Friday, August 15, the legislator questioned the continued exclusion of his community from key diplomatic roles.
“Why is the Maa Nation consistently sidelined by the government, denying them ambassadorial roles? Are we not Kenyans or just pawns in a political game?” Olekina questioned.
Olekina pointed out that promises made to the Maa community are never fulfilled, and the government lacks respect for the region’s people.
“Unity sounds hollow when every appointment mocks our community, no respect, no reward, just blatant exclusion! Mr. Frank Kibelekenya was promised an ambassadorial appointment, but he will also subscribe to view sasa,” he added.
