The declaration by the Head of State comes at a time when the IEBC has been criticized for its efficiency to deliver credible elections in the country.
IEBC is also expected to conduct a referendum should the Constitution Amendment Bill 2020 also known as the Building Bridges Initiatives (BBI) BBI sails through parliament.
Ksh14 billion has already been allocated to the IEBC for the 2021/2022 fiscal year to carry out the referendum.
