KCSE 2020 exam results will be released by May 10, 2021, according to Education Cabinet Secretary Prof George Magoha.
This was announced on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, as candidates sit their final paper today.
Magoha made the announcement as High Schools prepare to admit KCPE students who just received their results six days ago.
Last week Magoha released the 2020 Kenya Certificate of Primary School Education (KCPE) at Mitihani House in Nairobi on April 15, 2021. About 1,179,192 candidates sat for the 2020 KCPE national exams.
It was the first time the exams are being released in April when the country is busy managing the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
KCPE Candidates Transition
Prof Magoha commended the 2020 candidates for their performance which he says is no different from that of the former year.
He further revealed that all the candidates will be admitted to secondary schools, translating to a 100 percent transition.
"All the 1,179,192 candidates whose results we are releasing today will be admitted to secondary schools under the Government’s 100 percent transition policy. I wish to assure the country that the Ministry has already conducted an audit of all new and existing vacancies in all our private and public schools to enable us to admit all learners under the Free Day Secondary Education programme.
"We are determined to work with the relevant agencies to ensure that no candidate misses a place in secondary school," Prof Magoha stated.
