Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has alleged that Dennis Waweru and Suna East lawmaker Junet Mohammed have been funding press conferences by pro- BBI groups.
In a tweet on Sunday, Kuria claimed that the two have been offering cash to groups wh call them wanting to hold press conferences to show support to the nullified Constitutional Amendments Bill 2020 (BBI Bill).
The MP claimed that a presser will be held on Monday in Kirinyaga by a group funded by Mr Waweru and MP Mohammed to openly support the BBI Bill.
"Want to make some quick cash? Call Dennis Waweru or Junet Mohammed and say you have a group to hold a presser to condemn the 5 judges. The 1st one kicks off tomorrow with the National Conference of Commercial Sex Workers in Kirinyaga. Still struggling to find out who is their patron," the Gatundu South MP wrote.

Speaking during an interview on Thursday, last week, Kuria claimed that MPs are usually bribed to vote a certain way especially when the government has an interest in the particular issue at hand.
He sensationally claimed that in June 2020, he received Sh100,000 to vote for Kipipiri MP Amos Kimunya as the new Majority Leader in parliament; a position that was previously held by Garissa Town MP Aden Duale.
“It is not uncommon in Kenya for Members of Parliament to be paid or compensated to vote in a particular way, especially when the government has an interest in a matter…When the new Majority Leader was appointed because they were not elected, we went to the majority leader’s office and received a USD 1000 gift,” he said.
The following day the MP shocked Parliament after he whipped out Ksh100,000 that he claimed was used to bribe him.
His actions warranted a lecture from Speaker Justin Muturi who condemned Kuria for contravening the standing orders of the House.
