"You are the most ungrateful person and the most deceitful character that I have met."

President William Ruto warned leaders working with Retired President Uhuru Kenyatta that whether he would betray them was a matter of when, not if.

Speaking on Monday, October 12, Ruto said that if Uhuru could betray him, yet he voted for and campaigned for him in four elections, then he would not hesitate to betray leaders he recently began working with.

He branded his former boss as ungrateful and deceitful for opposing him and his government.

"You are the most ungrateful person I have met. You are the most deceitful character that I have met. How can you dare oppose me when the people of Kenya have elected me? How dare you oppose me when I supported you for all those years?"

"Those people who are now working with Uhuru Kenyatta should ask me; he is the biggest conman. If he betrayed me, who voted for and campaigned for him, he will finish you," Ruto stated.

The President added that Uhuru had upset him and his supporters by betraying him. He also went after his former boss for constantly claiming that Kenyans erred in electing him to lead the country.

"You are very useless, and you are upsetting us. He keeps on saying that Kenyans made a mistake to elect me. What mistake did Kenyans make? The work you failed to do, I have done. Please, Mr Kenyatta, give us a break," Ruto hissed.

The United Democratic Alliance Leader expressed confidence that he will secure his re-election in 2027.

He termed the election as one that would bring an end to tribal politics in the country and elevate politics of creating equal opportunities for all Kenyans, irrespective of tribe, and where they come from.

Ruto and the leaders accompanying him kept mentioning the 'Usawa ni sawa' mantra as he toured the Rift Valley region. This mantra was also mentioned several times during the ODM rallies in Luo Nyanza and Western.

The President's rant came after Uhuru, during the burial of People's Liberation Front Party Leader Martha Karua's father in Kirinnyaga, reminded Kenyans that they made a mistake in electing Ruto to the highest office in the land.
