Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka has issued a statement after he presented himself at the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) headquarters for grilling on Wednesday.
In his statement, Musyoka said the truth has finally come out on the Yatta land grabbing allegations, and the DCI have found that he did nothing wrong.
He went on to say that the findings indicate his principles and values that one does not have to steal to become someone in society.
"Today the lies have been exposed. The DCI have found zero evidence of wrong doing on my part. This reflects my principles and values in life that you do not have to steal to become relevant in society. Hardwork always pays," said Kalonzo.
The former Vice President noted that Kenyans must wake up now and seek the truth about the wealth and public service track records of people who will come asking for their votes.
Kalonzo added that it is also time lifestyle audits are made mandatory for anyone seeking an elective position in Kenya beginning with the 2022 general elections.
He added that once he becomes president, he will ensure that lifestyle audit is mandatory for all public office holder.
"Kenyan must be wise and seek clarity from vote seekers about truths on their possessions and public service track records. We cannot have a man who deeps his hand into the cookie jar at every single opportunity and at the same time present himself as the messiah.
"I, therefore, insist that lifestyle audit must be made compulsory before one is cleared to contest for public office in the upcoming general elections. This should be across board up to the MCAs," added Kalonzo.

The Wiper party leader on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, presented himself at the DCI offices in a bid to clear his name of the Yatta land grabbing allegations.
He arrived at the DCI land fraud offices in the company of lawyers, senator James Orengo and Senator Mutula Kilonzo Jr.
Kalonzo had in January presented himself to the DCI after he was accused by Deputy President William Ruto of grabbing 200 acres of land in Yatta belonging to the National Youth Service (NYS).
The Wiper leader has always maintained that he is an honest man and even called on DCI and the EACC to conduct a lifestyle audit on him and establish his source of wealth.
