Deputy President William Ruto has invited ANC Leader Musalia Mudavadi and his FORD-Kenya counterpart Moses Wetangula to join him at Hustler Nation.

The DP who was addressing members of the public during his tour of the Western region on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, stated that the two leaders should work with him.

DP Ruto further claimed that Mudavadi had undergone numerous auditions at the hand of ODM Leader Raila Odinga and his camp without success.

"I am asking you, should Musalia Mudavadi and Wetangula work with him (Raila) or should they join the Hustler movement.

"They took Musalia for an interview and they did not even call him to tell him the results," Ruto said.

The DP's sentiments were seconded by former Kakamega Senator Boni Khalwale and Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa.

Barasa directly asked Mudavadi and Wetangula to join Hustler Nation.

On his part, Khalwale claimed that working with the former Prime Minister involves a chain of bureaucracy in that for any political event to be held in the Western region, there has to be a green light from "above".

This comes after the two leaders skipped Odinga's Azimio la Umoja convention held at the Kasarani Stadium on December 10.

Mudavadi and Wetangula acknowledged that they had received invitations to the event but were indisposed and could not attend.

Among the four One Kenya Alliance (OKA) principals, only KANU leader Gideon Moi graced the event as Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka was away in South Sudan.

On Tuesday, December 14, a section of leaders from Western Kenya led by Tongaren MP Eseli Simiyu and his Kiminini Counterpart Wafula Wamunyinyi unveiled the Democratic Action Party of Kenya (DAP-K).

The party's National Delegates Convention (NDC) was attended by a number of leaders including Odinga, Defence Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa, among others.

The party joined the Azimio la Umoja bandwagon and pledged support for Odinga's presidential bid.

DAP-K is said to have been founded to wrestle support of Western Kenya from ANC and FORD-Kenya.
