“All of them are prime suspects and we are questioning them in connection with the school torching incident,” he said.

Naivasha Sub County Education Director Bernard Chirchir stated that students affected by the fire were moved to different dormitories within the school.

“The affected dormitories had a population of 104 learners and all of them have been accommodated in the dormitories belonging to form one and two,” he said.

Chirchir pointed an accusing finger at a group of rowdy students he claimed orchestrated the act to gain attention.

“It a notorious clique known to cause trouble in the past.”

The fire incident comes a month after the country experienced a quiet month of non-school fire-related incidents.

Last year, the country experienced a wave of school fires in even some of the top schools in the country including the likes of Maranda High School and Buru Buru Girls.
