Briefing the press on Thursday while opening a new CBC classroom at Kayole South Secondary in Nairobi, Prof. Magoha intimated that the marking process will be completed in the next four days.

“We are completing the marking of OMRs (sic) tomorrow. The rest of the four to five days will be for the marking of Kiswahili, Insha and composition. So we are still working with sometime next week. The CS maintained that it was good for the candidates to know their results early so that their parents could begin planning to take them for secondary education.

Meanwhile, Prof Magoha revealed that one teacher had been arrested at an examination centre in Mbooni, Makueni County for allegedly opening and scanning a KCSE paper that was to be written by candidates mid-morning.

The incident comes after 63 students and a supervisor were arrested over exam cheating in Turkana. The arrests were made within the Kakuma Refugee Camp in two separate examination centres.

Prof. Magoha has been strict on exam cheating, maintaining that any culprit involved in exam malpractices will face the full force of the law.
