Police officers in Githurai 44 have a launched a probe after a body of a middle-aged man was on Tuesday, June 14 found hanging behind a tuk tuk in Rurii, Githurai.
According to the police, the 38-year-old man was a tuk tuk driver and his body was hanged behind his tuk tuk.
The police believe that he was strangled elsewhere before the body was brought to the scene as there was no struggle at the scene.
“Preliminary investigation indicated that the victim may have been killed elsewhere and brought at the scene due to the absence of struggle at the scene,” read part of a police statement.

The motive behind the killing of the man was not immediately established. Police said that the deceased was last seen on Sunday morning, June 12.
Investigations into the killing are ongoing with police not making any arrests yet.
The incident comes days after a 78-year-old woman was found dead in her house in Nyayo Estate, Embakasi, after allegedly fasting and praying for days.
Catherine Kibara was found in her bed dead days after she had gone missing. She had failed to pick her relatives’ calls who were later concerned and decided to visit her place.
According to the police, the woman was suspected to have died from starvation.
