Sakaja maintained the next governor of Nairobi will be decided on the ballot.

Nairobi Senator Johnson Sakaja has dared the DCI boss George Kinoti to make good their threat to arrest him.

The Senator in a statement on Facebook lamented over claims of intimidation saying he will not be cowed.

"Threats of arrest and persecution by the state will not intimidate us or change the will of the people of Nairobi. Our resolve remains firm," Sakaja said.

"Bwana DCI Kinoti, I'm at my Riverside office, karibu or let me know if you'd like me to come over."

Sakaja maintained the next governor of Nairobi will be decided on the ballot and that nobody will subvert the will of the people and force a leader down their throat.

He said his academic papers are legitimate and that no one will lock him out of the August 9, polls.

"Your office will not install a project on the people of Nairobi. My qualifications are legit and the relevant institutions have refused to play along with your games. Let the people decide."
