The two will meet with Ruto's UDA team today at the Kenya Kwanza rally at Ndumberi in Kiambu.

The two warring factions of the Kenya Kwanza Alliance team are set to meet today at a political rally in Kiambu county.

According to Deputy President William Ruto's Head of Communications Hussein Mohamed, the two warring factions are set to meet during Kenya Kwanza's MEGA rally to be held at Ndumberi in Kiambu.

Among those who have been mentioned to be attending the rally include Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and former Kiambu County Governor William Kabogo. The two will be joined by Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate William Ruto, his running mate Rigathi Gachagua, Musalia Mudavadi (ANC) and Moses Wetangula of Ford Kenya.

Others who will be present are National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi, PAA Party boss Amason Kingi, Governor Alfred Mutua, and a number of UDA-allied legislators.

This comes in the wake of a heated exchange of words between Kuria and Kabogo's team against a section of UDA allied MPs led by Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua, Senator Kimani Wamatangi as well as Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa in the course of the week.

The scuffles started after the Chama Cha Kazi party led by Kuria and Kabogo's Tujibebe Wakenya outfit wrote to the Kenya Kwanza Alliance principles saying they had temporarily pulled out of UDA campaigns.

In their joint letter, Kuria and Kabogo cited bias and intimidation by Ruto's UDA party. While demanding to meet Kenya Kwanza's founding principles, the two cited, among others, Wednesday's ugly spat between Kabogo and United Democratic Alliance (UDA) candidate Kimani Wamatangi during a rally in the county.

"Following the unfortunate incident of June 15, the Tujibebe Wakenya party and Chama Cha Kazi parties have decided to pull out of the UDA caravans as they are clearly set up to embarrass other parties and demonise the Kenya Kwanza Alliance as a coalition," a joint statement by Kuria and Kabogo read in part.

The two competitors turn allies also accuse Kikuyu MP Kimani Ichungwa, claiming he had warned a number of UDA allied MCAs from Kiambu against attending any rally convened by either Kabogo or Kuria or risk facing consequences.

And on Thursday evening, Kabogo lashed out at Ruto's running mate Gachagua describing him as a dictator in the making in Kenya Kwanza. Kabogo said he warned DP Ruto against picking Mathira MP as his vice adding that he will cost him so many votes.

In quick retaliation, Gachagua lashed out at Kabogo and Kuria, saying they should plan to convene their own political gatherings. Gachagua said the two are interfering with UDA campaigns in the country
