Speaking after the incident, Ruto blamed his competitors for the chaos claiming they had sensed defeat in the August 9, general polls.
The DP blamed Raila Oding for the chaos witnessed without providing any proof.
"Msikubali hizi vitisho vidogo vidogo, they know we will take them home on the 9th of August. The politics of throwing stones is archaic and should not be allowed in this era. I want to warn Raila against using Kenyan youth to throw stones. If you have no agenda just go home," stated Ruto.
He thanked his supporters for staying adamant and ensuring that the rally goes on well despite all the hitches.
Ruto exuded confidence of victory at the ballot adding that his competitors are now afraid.
"I want to thank the youths of Nairobi for refusing to be threatened. Those preventing us from conducting our rally here know that we have defeated them. They should meet us at the ballot instead. I want to remind those misusing the youths that they have remained with only 50 days in office. We will redeem Kenya on the 9th of August," he added
