Suna East MP Junet Mohamed on Sunday, July 3, played a secret recording audio recording of Deputy President William Ruto admitting that he almost slapped President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The audio recording reveals the tense moments after the 2017 election in which the supreme court nullified Kenyatta and Ruto's win.
In the recording shared by Junet, Ruto is heard saying that Kenyatta almost gave up on the presidency after the court nullified their win.
According to Ruto, the President wanted to go back to Ichaweri following the nullification in which the Supreme court ordered a repeat election.
