MP Lomenen urged President to consider visiting Turkana as their party patron and apologizing to Jubilee party supporters.

Turkana County Jubilee Senatorial aspirant James Lomenen has now called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to intervene and visit Turkana county to apologize to the Jubilee party supporters on behalf of the Azimio la Umoja camp.

Addressing the press on Friday, July 22, the current Turkana South MP cried foul over recent chaos that marred Raila Odinga's visit to the county.

This was after the Azimio la Umoja rally planned at Moi Gardens Lodwar on Thursday, July 21, was interrupted by charged supporters of ODM and Jubilee parties that clashed at the venue.

While crying foul over what he claimed as attacks on Jubilee party supporters by their ODM counterparts, MP Lomenen urged President to consider visiting Turkana as their party patron and apologizing to Jubilee party supporters.

The legislator lamented that they have been living like orphans as Jubilee supporters in Turkana and had allegedly been abandoned by President Uhuru Kenyatta leading to disrespect for them by the ODM party and their supporters.

"We have missed our party leader President Uhuru Kenyatta, we are currently living like vulnerable orphans who have no father. ODM's father (Raila Odinga) has toured Turkana county three times whereas ours has never stepped in here, that is the reason why we are being humiliated.

"What ask our president and our party leader to come here and apologize to us on behalf of Azimio because we have been insulted," stated Lomenen who was accompanied by former Petroleum CS John Munyes

According to Lomenen, Raila Odinga's security and a section of ODM supporters allegedly started the scuffles by attacking anyone who was holding Jubilee party aspirants' campaign posters at the venue.

"ODM and Raila's security were so arrogant during the rally. They came over and started harassing and beating a section of women who were holding Jubilee aspirants' posters. They didn't want to see any campaign posters belonging to our Jubilee Gubernatorial aspirant Mr. John Munyes," added MP Lomenen.

The chaos started on Thursday after MP Junet Mohamed ushered Jubilee candidate John Munyes to the podium to address the crowd ahead of MP Jeremiah Lomurkai who is also seeking the county's gubernatorial seat on the ODM ticket.

The Jubilee leaders and supporters said the chaos was one way of sabotaging Former CS Munyes in the Azimio camp.
