Controversial Kisii gospel artist Christopher Nyangwara Mosioma alias Embarambamba has defended himself following an attack by Kenyans over his ratchet video that has gone viral online.

On Monday evening, Embarambamba’s video dancing with an unidentified lady in a compromising position went viral, eliciting massive reactions.

A section of netizens attacked Embarambamba and questioned his status as a gospel artist.

"Embarambamba this is GROSSLY INCORRECT. You listened to cheering voices of deceit and ran yourself into destruction. What you have done today is INEXCUSABLE," David Osiany remarked.

"I am highly embarrassed by Embarambamba as one of those who offered him Support including interviewing him on a decent National platform.

"The video going round is dirty, not anywhere close to what he purports to be :- A gospel Artist," Journalist Lofty Matambo noted.

The video also caught the attention of KFCB Boss Ezekiel Mutua who noted that Embarambamba had crossed the line.

Reacting to the criticism and online attack, Embarambamba noted that he was dramatizing the message in his song, adding that Kenyans should not be so quick to judge him.

He noted that his song advocates against sexual immorality, adding that his performance is in line with the message.

“Wakenya wamenihukumu, Wakenya wamenitusi, mafans wangu wamekasirika wanasema mimi ni shetani sijaokoka… Lakini ile kitu nataka niambie wakenya ni kwamba, kabla haujacomment, angalia the statement of the song ambayo inasema umetoa wapi upusi ya kufanya hivi vitu ya upusi wapi,” he said.
