Prophet Carmel said he first saw Rev Lucy in a video while he was on assignment and got interested in knowing her.

Popular preacher Lucy Natasha has disclosed how she met with her husband Prophet Stanley Carmel.

In an interview with media personality Lynn Ngugi, the preacher disclosed that Carmel reached out to her through an Instagram direct message (DM).

"Our relationship started in a very interesting way because he sent me a DM. He slid in the Instagram DM. Our meeting together was heavenly and divinely orchestrated," said Rev Lucy.

Speaking during the same interview, Prophet Carmel said he first saw Rev Lucy in a video while he was on assignment and got interested in knowing her.

“I was invited to preach in a place, the lady in the house showed me a video where my love was preaching, I saw the video and there was a spark in me. I said, at any cost, I need to slide into the DM,” he said.

Rev Lucy stated that at first, she did not reply to the messages but Carmel did not give up and after communicating for a while, they met in the United States.

This comes a month after Rev Lucy and Carmel held their traditional wedding in a colourful invites-only ceremony in Evergreen Woodvale Drive House in Runda, Nairobi.

According to photos from the ceremony, Natasha wore a white custom-made gown completed with gold flowers, while Carmel rocked a white top with a touch of gold and a white pair of trousers.

Like most Kikuyu traditional weddings, Natasha and a group of women related to her were covered from head to toe with lesos and Carmel was given a chance to identify her.

The traditional wedding ceremony was attended by celebrities including Bonfire's Simon and Sarah Kabu, FBI dancer Ezra and comedian DJ Shiti who was the emcee.

Kesses MP Swarup 'Kiprop' Mishra was also in attendance.
