We have told them to leave so that we can look for another company - President William Ruto.

President William Ruto has disclosed that a French company that was awarded a road construction tender for the Nakuru-Nairobi highway has been sent away.

Speaking on Thursday, October 24, in Nakuru County, President Ruto noted the company, which he did not name, failed to deliver on the project.

The president stated that the company was asked to leave so that the government can look for another firm to work on the project

He maintained that the government is aiming to make the Nakuru-Nairobi highway a dual carriageway to ease traffic movement.

“Travelling from Nakuru to Nairobi is still a problem because of traffic. I want to assure you that the French company that was awarded the tender to construct the road got stuck and we have told them to leave so that we can look for another company because the highway from Nakuru through Mau Summit to Nairobi we must make it a dual carriageway,” President Ruto remarked.
