National Assembly Speaker Moses Wetangula has assured Kenyans that his House will provide necessary facilities during bi-partisan talks between the opposition and the government.
In an update via Twitter on Sunday, April 9, Wetangula expressed confidence that the bi-partisan process would run smoothly and foster peace in the country.
“We celebrate Easter and reflect on the Courageous sacrifice our Savior made for us. As Parliament, we assure the Nation that we shall provide the necessary facilities to ensure the parliamentary bipartisan engagement's smooth run to foster peace & security,” said Wetangula.
This comes a week after Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga called off anti-government demonstrations after President William Ruto reached out to him for talks using a bi-partisan process.

President Ruto on Monday, April 3 directed Kenya Kwanza National Assembly and Senate leadership to consider the bipartisan approach to addressing the matters raised by the Opposition as a priority.
“We have asked the Parliamentary leadership of both Houses to consider our proposal for a bipartisan approach to addressing the matters raised by the Opposition as a priority,” Ruto said.
Raila on the other hand unveiled a seven-member team on Thursday that will engage the Kenya Kwanza side during the talks.
The members include Senators; Ledama Olekina (Narok), Edwin Sifuna (Nairobi) and Enoch Wambua (Kitui).
Others are Malindi MP Amina Mnyanzi, Suba North MP Millie Odhiambo, Pokot South MP David PKosing and Rarieda MP Otiende Amollo.
