Saboti Member of Parliament Caleb Amisi has urged Azimio la Umoja Members of Parliament to dress warmly when they leave their homes every day.
In an update via Twitter on Monday July 24, Amisi claimed that Azimio MPs are being targeted by the government and should be prepared in case they are arrested.
“To all Azimio MPs, please leave your home every day dressed warmly, aware that the cold Aberdare forest or Nyahururu rainforest could be your next home for an unknown number of days, We are all targeted, and you will never know when they come for you. Also, walk around with some snacks and a packet of juice in case they drive you to Shakahola Forest,” said Amisi.
The ODM MP also urged the opposition lawmakers to remain strong even as the Kenya Kwanza government goes hard on them.
“We got to be strong and prepared, but eventually, they will face their waterloo. Everything under the sun has an end,” Amisi added.

His advice comes after the Azimio coalition announced that they will continue with the anti-government protests on Wednesday, July 26, 2023.
Addressing the media on Saturday, former Murang'a County Governor Mwangi wa Iria, Azimio disclosed that they would hold one-day protests as opposed to this week's three-day continuous protests.
"We remain determined to right the wrongs being inflicted on our people, including the state-induced high cost of living. Our peaceful countrywide demonstrations continue next Wednesday. We are serving notice to all the OCSs across the country for the Wednesday peaceful demonstrations. In the meantime, the signature collection, which now stands at 8 million, continues," the former Murang'a Governor stated.
During last week’s protests, the security agencies arrested Embakasi East MP Babu Owino, Kilifi South MP Ken Chonga, and Kilifi Count Speaker Teddy Mwambire.
The police also arrested Azimio leader Raila Odinga’s bodyguard Maurice Ogeta and spokesperson Dennis Onyango.
Wiper Party Leader Kalozno Musyoka was allegedly put under house arrest by the security agencies.
