President William Ruto on Thursday left the country for a two-day State Visit to Mozambique.
State House Spokesperson Hussein Mohamed in a Statement confirmed the visit and said it will boost relations between the two nations.
"He will hold discussions with the host and counterpart H.E President Filipe Nyusi, aimed at strengthening and expanding bilateral ties between Kenya and Mozambique, with a particular focus on key sectors, including the Blue Economy and Fisheries, Trade, Defence, Agriculture, Energy, Transport and Capacity building," he said.
Ruto and his host Nyusi are also expected to sign eight cooperation agreements and solidify their shared commitment to collaboration between Kenya and Mozambique.

He said the two leaders will also strengthen cooperation along the realm of the Indian-Swahili coast.
"The visit will also provide momentum for the Kenya-Mozambiquw Business Forum which will explore mutual economic opportunities. Additionally, it will mark the launch of the Kenya-Mozambique Joint Trade Committee (JTC)," Hussein added.
Foreign CS Alfred Mutua arrived in Mozambique on Wednesday evening ahead of President Ruto's visit.
"I have today ( Wednesday) arrived in Maputo, Mozambique for the Joint Permanent Commission for Cooperation meet and to prepare for H.E. President William Ruto's State visit to the country," he said in a tweet.
Mutua was received by his counterpart Verónica Macamo.
