Lawyer Miguna Miguna has asked President William Ruto to take action on those perceived to be corrupt rather than issuing threats.
Miguna said there was nothing to celebrate in Ruto's tough stance on corruption cartels if none of those who stole public money is arrested and jailed.
"Until I see four-dollar billionaire thieves and their principals in handcuffs and their stolen public property restored to the public, I am not celebrating President WilliamRuto ’s threats to the corrupt. Kenyans want to see action. Not words!" Miguna said.
The firebrand lawyer at the same time said the rule of law must strictly be followed when dealing with the cartels.

He said he would not support those accused of corruption to be victims of extrajudicial killings adding that illegal means should not be used against anyone.
"Finally, a caution: We want the Rule of Law to prevail. Not the Rule of the Jungle. I, Miguna Miguna, strongly oppose extra-judicial killings and other fiats," Miguna added.
"Those interested in cleaning up Kenya must hire competent and ethical professionals to undertake investigations, prosecutions and judicial work. Empower ethical judges like Odunga, Ngugi, Mwita, Weldon Korir and others."
He noted that the fight and threat against thieves in the country will be worthless if Kenya's key institutions such as the DCI, Office of the Director of Public Prosecution, National Police Service and the Kenyan Service are populated with corrupt individuals at its top leadership.
The President has recently sustained an onslaught against the corrupt saying they have no option but to toe the line.
Addressing the people of Western Kenya, Ruto said the corruption will be dealt with decisively.
“Hawa wakora wote watoke. Hio kampuni ni ya wananchi na tutaipangia upya. Hakuna kesi tutaentertain hapo. Kesi watoe na wao wenyewe watoke,” Ruto said.
“Wakitaka kuniletea kisirani either wahame Kenya ama nitawaweka jela ama wasafiri waende mbinguni.”
