The Mashujaa celebration being held at Kericho Green Stadium has occasioned a major traffic disruption.
Being a national event, the celebrations attract a multitude of people including senior Government officers.
Following the high-profile leadership that has pitched a tent in the area, a traffic disruption guideline has been issued to regulate the flow of motorists.
In the advisory seen by Nairobi Leo, Vehicles from Bomet/Litein general direction heading to Kisumu will be required to divert at Premier Junction and then proceed to Kabianga University to Sosiot and join the Kericho/ Kisumu highway at Kapsoit.
Vehicles from Bomet/Litein general direction heading to Nakuru will divert at Premier junction then proceed to Kabianga University to Chepnyogaa shopping centre then turn right and proceed to Tegat and join the Kericho/ then Kipchimchim to Brooke then to Nakuru.

Another diversion from Bomet/Litein General direction will be at Kipsigis Girls to Tegat Kisumu Junction.
Motorists from Nakuru to Kisumu are advised to use Londiani Muhoroni and join the Kisumu Kericho highway in the Kipsitet area.
Motorists from Nakuru going to Bomet/Sotik/Kisii to divert at Brooke proceed to Kipchimchim up to Tegat then to Chepnyogaa to Premier and join the Kericho Litein road.
The Kericho main stage has been closed to the public and reserved as a parking zone for the vulnerable and the aged.
Moi Garden, ACK Church and Emmanuel Church are reserved parking for VVIPs, Diplomats, VIPs and service providers whose vehicles will have Red, Blue and White stickers respectively for identification.
Eland Primary School is reserved parking for the VVIPs and Diplomats next to the police station
KenHA has erected reflective road signs on the said roads to guide motorists.
To ease traffic heading to the stadium and the county commissioners’ residence, some roads were temporarily closed with effect from Thursday at 5 p.m. to Friday at 5 p.m.
Only motor vehicles with red, blue or white stickers are allowed passage.
