President William Ruto graced the Akorinu National Prayers Conference on Sunday, June 9, at Nakuru High School in Nakuru County.

The Head of State was joined by his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, Nakuru governor Susan Kihika, and Nakuru East MP David Gikaria, among other leaders.

Other notable leaders who attended the event include Public Service CS Moses Kuria, Murang'a Governor Irungu Kang'ata, Dagoretti South MP Jihn Kiare, and Embakasi North MP James Gakuya.

The president was dressed in a creamy white Kaunda suit, while the deputy president stepped out in a white three-piece suit and white shoes.

During the event, the Akurino clergy took a moment to pray for the Head of State and his deputy.

Gachagua joined President Ruto for the event just hours after presiding over a church fundraiser at Kipkok in Sigowet-Soin Constituency, Kericho County, on Saturday.

At the event, the DP maintained that the church was a pillar of the community as

"The Church is a pillar of our community and society. We have a responsibility of supporting the Church in its activities to be effective as it contributes to socio-economic development of our nation," Gachagua remarked.

He also used the event to ask politicians to stop divisive politics, even as he disclosed that his focus was to support the president.

“The most important business of the day is to ensure President Ruto succeeds. That is my focus and commitment. When people start succession politics of 2032, it causes distraction," Gachagua declared.
