Mvurya's declaration of wealth came moments after that of John Mbadi.

The proposed National Treasury Cabinet Secretary revealed that his net worth currently stands at Sh 380 million.

Mbadi, who appeared before the National Assembly's Committee on Appointments on Saturday, August 3, said his worth would ideally be Sh 437 million, but liabilities lowered it to KSh 380 million.

"The difference between my assets and liabilities is Sh 57 million. My net worth is Sh 380 million," he revealed.

He explained that the liabilities comprised parliament mortgage loans, his Sacco loans, and a Sh 12 million loan with KCB bank.

Until his nomination to the Cabinet, Mbadi was an ODM-nominated MP.

He was first elected to the National Assembly in 2007 to represent the former Gwassi constituency in the 10th parliament.

Mbadi was elected the Suba South MP in 2013, serving until 2022.

He is an alumnus of the University of Nairobi; Bachelor of Commerce, Masters of Business Administration and Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

Mbadi was also the chairman of the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) in the 13th parliament.
