The Office of the Attorney General has announced openings for graduates.

The Office of the Attorney General has announced openings for graduates in its Pupillage Programme set to begin in January 2025.

In a notice issued on Tuesday, October 15, the office disclosed that it is looking for 70 motivated Kenyans to participate in the six-month program.

“The Office of the Attorney General and Department of Justice is one of the institutions set out in Section 14 of the Advocates Act, CAP. 16 and the Kenya School of Law Pupillage Guidelines 2023, as an institution in which students at the Kenya School of Law may undertake their Pupilage Programme for a period of six (6) months,” read part of the notice by Solicitor General Shadrack Mose.

For one to qualify for the program, they should possess a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree from a recognized university and have a letter from the Kenya School of Law recommending commencement of pupillage.

The candidates should also demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills in both English and Kiswahili and be computer literate.

At the same time, they should demonstrate a proactive attitude and willingness to learn and to be part of a team handling challenging assignments within timelines.

Interested and qualified candidates were requested to download and fill out the pupillage application form and submit it to [email protected] before October 24.

Additionally, the candidates were asked not to attach any documents to the application form and to provide all the information requested on the form.

"Only shortlisted and successful candidates will be contacted. Shortlisted candidates shall be required to produce originals of their National Identity Card, academic certificates and letter from Kenya School of Law recommending them to start pupillage during interviews," the office stated.
